"Uwak hope you know her already. She is my friend Natasha" Linda said
smilling broadly and then added.... "Natasha he is my boo"
"What sort of stupid game is this?"I asked myself silently.
My brain was searching for some cover up words to say but to no avail
nothing came out of it. I wondered how I managed to say
"Linda stop kidding us." I said trying to cover-up.
"And what do you mean by kidding." Natasha said frowning her face.
"Natasha come and sit down. Your friend Linda is just kidding." I said.
"when you guys were almost kissing! Infact were kissing" Natasha said
while linda mumbled immediately..
"Uwak I'm leaving this place now. Cos I've seen clearly with my eyes."
Natasha said and fled.
"Uwak don't worry. you can still get her!" I thought.
"what's wrong with her? Does it mean you're already in a relationship
with her.?" Linda asked curiously.
"No. I could Hi?" I said even when my mind wasn't for whatsover linda
was doing and I intended mostly for Natasha to be my gf.
"what so passionate about the kissing she was worrying about." she said.
"I don't know maybe she saw us." I said.
"Then is it a crime.?" She said then you go asked her.
I quickly sipped the drinks then told Linda that am leaving
immediately though, she argued but that didn't tend to cause my
lingering. She frowned, and said I should call her as soon as I
reached home.
I got home and rushed inside the house. It seems somebody was pursuing
me when nobody did. On getting inside the room I flung my phone on the
bed as I heard my mum called me.
She came inside my room and said that she has been waiting for my
arrival since noon I left.
"What happened?. Hope everything is going fine?" she asked.
"Nothing Mum. Everything is fine. It seems you're too worried about me." I said.
"Why won't I? You're the only son I have and I don't want to hear
anything bad about you because you're my hope in everything. You need
to know the kind of companys you're keeping and stay away from all
these girls around until your appointed time comes." She said.
"appointed time??? Ehn I won't take that one ooo" I thought.
"Your food is in the cupboard." she said and left.
I started thinking of what that happened in the birthday party despite
I was hungry.
"Natasha .... Natasha... Natasha. You're mine." I said.
"Linda... Linda ..linda hmmmmm your own I don't know yet." I added.
I picked my phone and dialed Natasha number. She didn't picked the
call, she kept on rejecting my call.
I tried calling her number umpteenth times and I was sweating like I
was playing football. I don't just know what came over me as I was
like crying saying...
."Linda I don't know what's wrong with you but If Natasha is not
picking my call. You'll see what I'd do you. " I said frowning my
face. Lol.
Luckily she picked the call and my mind was at rest.
Me: Helo Natasha how're you?
Natasha: I'm not fine. What's it?.
Me: why are you like this? I thought I'd be able to have you as mine.
I didn't know you're such a claiming person.
Natasha: Like how? When I saw you kissing my friend that you just saw
today. Were you using charm on her?
Me: meeee? Honestly stop leing against me. I'm not such a person maybe
you were seeing darkness in your sight cos I don't have such thing in
mind.
Natasha: (Laughed.)
Me: why laughing?
I started diversing the topic to the main point as the conversations
continued, I told her I'm in love with her that I want her to be My
love and she said I should come meet her face to face. That it
shouldn't be a phone talk and we agreed to meet the next day.
THE NEXT DAY
I wanted to go by morning but I consented not with it. So during the
noon time, I got myself prepared to go speak with the love of my life.
I put on my starched cloths, wore my timberland boot and left the
house.....
"Uwak were are you going" my mum said.
"It won't work " I thought.
