I got to Tunde's place and sighted my fiancé's
Range Rover parked in front of the gate. Did he
fly?" I wondered.
He came out of his car when he sighted him. He
gave me a side hug and we went inside, no
gateman.
The gate was not locked.
We met him lying on the floor drunk to stupor.
When did he start taking alcohol?" I asked myself.
He had already packed his personal belongings.
Daniel and I helped him up and made him sit on
the sofa, he was crying like a baby, reeling of
alcohol.
"You need to man up guy! This is not the end of
the world" Daniel said
I picked one of the empty beer bottles on the floor.
"Now that you resolved to alcohol, as it solved
your problems. Tunde is this the solution" I raise
the bottle to his face. Tunde, you are a
disappointment, take a look at you, you are a mess
right now.
He buried he's face in palms sobbing.
"You need to take your bath and change, we need
to get you out of here since you've been ejected" I
said and pulled him up.
Daniel led him upstairs to the bathroom and return
shortly.
"Daniella! What are you trying to do, where will you
take him" he asked anxiously.
"Don't worry he's not coming to the mansion, I
can't allow him stay with you" I replied
"Hope you are not thinking of taking him to your
house either"
"No, he still has a friend who can helped,
remember the guy from his former house?"
Daniel nodded.
I put a call through to Francis and explained the
issue in ground.
"What are friend for, you can bring him" he said.
"Thanks Francis, we'll bring him right away"
He came downstairs, he looked a bit better this
time, we packed his things in the vehicle.
Daniel turn on the ignition, we were about to leave,
then Tunde asked
"Where are you taking me?"
"To Francis's" I said
"Back to square one" he blurted out, tears
steaming his face.
I really felt for me, drop of tears fell from my eyes.
Daniel saw it and held my left hand and squeezed
it gently.
I gave Daniel directions to the house. Francis
opened the gate for us, Daniel drove into the
compound and parked the car. We all exchanged
greetings. I introduced Daniel and Francis. He
moved Tunde's things into his room.
We all took turn in encouraging Tunde.
"You don't have to wallow in self pity, pick up the
pieces of your life and start all over again. I hope
you'll make the right call next time" Francis said
"You warned me then, but I never listened. You
told me its my loss if I leave Pamilerin, now I loss
not only her but everything. Have learnt my
lesson" Tunde said calmly.
"I heard you are brilliant, there are so many
companies out there who are interested in people
like you, so I think your next move now is to get
another promising job and I wish you all the best"
Daniel advice.
"Pamilerin was right he said your kind of man is
rare. I can see she's right. Thank you so much
Daniel for your help" Tunde said.
"You are welcome"
"Send your CV to my mail, I still have some people
who can help" I said
"I will, thank you" he said looking into my eyes.
I wanted to cry but I held it.
"Promise me you won't drink again"
"I promise" he said assuredly
"We have to leave now" I informed them.
Francis followed us outside, he really appreciate
what we did for Tunde. We also thank him for his
kind gestures too.
Daniel offered to drop me off, I accepted the offer
whole heartedly because I was so tired.
He dropped me off and left.
I called Tunde later in the evening to find out how
he was doing
"Are you still using your old bank account"
"You don't need to send me money, I'll be fine"
"You want to live off your friend, housing you is
enough, I don't want you to be a burden to him"
"Pamilerin you've done enough"
"Is the account still active?" I asked bluntly.
"Yes" he said and sighed heavily.
"Ok, good night and sleep well"
"I will, thanks. Good night.
I ended the call and made the transfer
immediately. I dont spent my salary, I never
needed to, thanks to Daniel.
*Episode 7*
The next weekend I went to the Daniel's place, I
met Paul at the mansion.
They both welcomed me and I tabled Tunde's
issue.
"Please guys I need your help"
"You want to us to help him get a job, after
everything he did to you" Paul said
"Let him get himself a job Daniella, I don't know
why you made it your duty"
"Hello o…this is Nigeria getting a job here is not
that easy except you have connections"
"Paul has connections then, he'll help"
"And you don't have?" Paul tackled him
"Daniella, stay away from that guy, I don't want
him to hurt you. Youve done enough for him
already"
"He's not that kind of a person, it was frustration
that led him into what he did then. He can't hurt
him.
"Daniel is right you have to be careful around him"
said Paul.
"You guys don't get it, this is a guy I used to love,
I can't just abandon him"
"Let me have his CV" Paul said
"Thanks,you are a darling" I handed the CV to him
and gave him a peck on the cheek.
"I'm sorry I can't help, you know he can't work for
me" Daniel
said
"I know but you have people who can, you can talk
to your clients. I know you want to help him, you
are just hurt because of what he did to me in the
past" I said with all seriousness.
He stretched forth his hand and I handed the CV to
him.
"I'll send the soft copy to your emails too" I said
to them.
Paul looked at Daniel and asked
"Who says women don't have a forgiven spirit?"
Paul stated.
"My fiancée is one of the exceptions" Daniel replied
him.
"See it takes the grace of God to forgive. Fine he
hurt me in the past but who am I not to forgive
him. As long as God forgives our sins then we
have to learn to forgive others too" I explained.
"That's the spirit and I'm proud of you my baby "
Daniel said and hugged me.

I told Daniel we're having a midterm break in
school and he insisted I spend the mid term break
with him.
"You have a whole IT firm to run, remember?
i said
"I can work from home, you know. I want to spend
time with you. If you don't come, that means I
wont see you this week, you already have plans for
Saturday or are you no longer going for the
workshop you told me about?" He asked
"I'm going" I replied
"The break is Friday and Monday, so spend the
Friday with me and you can have Monday to
yourself"
"Why are you so good at planning my schedules
for me. Ok, I will get back at you sweetheart"
I told him I can't promise him anything yet but I'll
get back at him to let him know if I'm coming or
not.
We talked about other things for a while before he
ended the call.
I informed my mum, I'll be going to Daniel's place
on Friday.
"I thought you'll use the midterm break to rest" my
mummy queried.
"My plan was to stay indoor too but Daniel change
my plans. Midterm break is Friday and Monday. I
will use that Monday to rest" I explained.
"Eh!….Eh! Just be careful o, no daughter of mine
will get married with pregnancy o. I'm not in
support of premarital sex, the bible says keep the
marriage….
"….Bed undefiled, Mummy I know and there's
nothing to worry about"
"Just be careful oko mi, oju oni ti e o" (you will
not be put to shame o)
"We already set our boundaries mummy, relax
ehn"
"I've heard you, just be careful"
"Ok ma"
Mothers will always be mothers. I sighed
